Catherine is an Elder in several different traditions, and has been leading groups and performing public rituals for over 20 years. She is a former first officer of the Covenant of the Goddess, and is the Canadian representative of the CoG Board. She represented CoG at the Parliament of World Religions Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. She continues inter-faith work as the coordinator, and Wiccan Chaplain for the University of Toronto Campus Chaplains Association. As a Founding Member of Magical Arts Ritual Theatre, her play, Oracles from the Living Tarot has been performed annually since 1998

Firedance Opening Ritual and Blessing
Spirits of the Fire, Come to us…

Creating a community through drums and fire. This year’s opening ritual is a celebration of the tribes that come together to create our Firedance festival community. The highlight will be the lighting of the Sacred Flame that will be used to light all the fires on the site. Join with us as we make our way around the site to the Central Fire. Become part of the Heart of the Community as the fires are lit, drums are played and we dance the magic circle round!

Women’s Ritual
A community is only as strong as those who care for it. This women’s ritual will allow us to gather together to help empower and witness our commitments to the Maiden, Mother and Crone.

Closing Ritual
It is time to douse the flames of our festival. As we thank all those who have joined us at this year’s Firedance, we carry the flame within us. Join us as we say our farewells and to forward to the next year.
